Our story
Why we built Polk County Live
Polk County, Wisconsin is home to so many businesses, activities and events worth showing up for and supporting. Yet, there was never a single place to go to learn about them - until now.
I've been fortunate to spend a lot of time in Polk County over the last six years. As my family and I looked for events to attend, activities to do or new businesses to support, I noticed that there isn't a single source for Polk County residents to discover these same things I was looking for.
Whether it was a great local event that we found out about after it was over, a new business that deserved customers but had no easy way to be discovered or a visitor asking "what is there to do here?" with no good answer to point them to. The need was obvious, and it kept getting bigger.
So, I decided to build a true hub for the community: Polk County Live.
Polk County Live is one place that pulls together the events, the businesses, and the activities that make this part of Wisconsin worth living in and visiting. Not another feed to scroll, but an actual guide: organized by town, by category, and by what you're trying to plan.
This is a living project, and it gets better when the community is part of it. If you're running an event, own a local business, or know about something that belongs here, send it our way. Polk County Live works best when it's built by the people who actually spend time here and those who call this place home.
